As part of New College of Florida's 50th Anniversary celebration, the school has commissioned Silas to compose a new piece that he will perform with the Sarasota Orchestra on February 12, 2011.

Maestro Leif Bjaland, conductor and artistic director of the Sarasota Orchestra, has commissioned Silas to compose an orchestral piece, to be premiered as part of the Crossroads Project on Saturday, February 28th.
